Biggest rollback in the Philippine history

Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated (UPPI) on Thursday set another benchmark in local pump prices by implementing the biggest rollback in diesel and gasoline prices the local market has seen since January.
UPPI General Manager Chito Medina-Cue Jr. said that aside from their P6 per liter price reduction in diesel (Pure Diesel Plus B1), they would also slash the prices of their premium (Quantum) and unleaded gasoline by P2.50 per liter effective at 2pmtoday.
The latest price adjustment, the third "big-time" cutback, imposed by Unioil beat other competitors to the draw by as much as P1 per liter for diesel and P1.50 for gasoline.

With the latest price adjustments, Unioil's diesel products now stood at P37.97 per liter for its Pure Diesel Plus B1 used bypublic utility vehicles and P38.97 per liter for Pure Diesel Plus B1(non-PUV lane).
Unleaded gasoline now stood at P44.51 and P45.01 per liter for Quantum Premium Gasoline.
Unioil last rolled back pump prices by P1 per liter last October 17. Prior to that, it has also implemented a twice "big-time" rollback of P3 per liter for diesel and P2 for gasoline in September.
Medina-Cue said the price rollback was due to the continued decline in crude prices at the international market and Unioil's commitment to sell to the public petroleum products at affordable prices.
He likewise said that it is also part of the company's "gift" to the public and motorists, especially those who are going to the provinces for the All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day commemoration this weekend.
Thousands of motorists are expected to flock to the provinces this weekend for the commemoration.
"This is the biggest price rollback for this year and Unioil will continue this commitment to the public to have a fair and competitive pricing," Medina-Cue said.
The company, one of the country's leading independent oil player has 40 service stations and retail outlets in mainland Luzonalone. It is in the midst of a P90 million expansion program that would see the construction of additional outlets in Makati,Pasay, Las Pinas, Paranaque and Quezon City.
