Unioil lubes

July 6, 2009

Independent oil player Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated (UPPI) has set an ambitious expansion program for its lubricant products targetting the Southern Tagalog region, Bicol, Northern Luzon, Western Visayas and Mindanao as part of the company's overall development program this year.

We are looking at forging distributorship agreement with third party distributors parties in Batangas, Cavite, Quezon, Bicol, Isabela, Cagayan, the Ilocos provinces, Nueva Vizcaya, Panay, Negros and Western Mindanao where we feel there is a growing market for our products,” Ben Dolosa, Unioil Lubricants Division Manager said.

By having a network of distributorship, we can popularize our product line, thereby enabling us to fully compete with other companies,' he added.

Unioil is targetting, initially 10 new distributors before the end of the year in these “open areas” which are enjoying a big and ready market for their products and services.

Unioil, one of the country's leading independent oil players, carries a wide range of automotive and industrial lubricants that cater to retailers and resellers as well as industrial and commercial clients.

Blended in an ISO 9001:2000 certified blending facility in Valenzuela, north of Manila, the company’s products are house-brand and at par with international quality and standards.
The company is the exclusive distributor of the Idemitsu international brand of lubricants. Idemitsu is Japan's biggest lubricant manufacturer.
Last year, Unioil also inked a contract with Silver Tire Traders Inc., a local lube distributor based in General Santos City, as the company’s distributor of automotive lubricants in North and South Cotabato area
The lubricants distribution contracts with Silver Tire would boost Unioil’s revenues by P24 million a year.
Dolosa said interested parties can avail of the company's highly successful franchise program which it presented at the recently concluded 17th Annual Philippine International Franchise Conference and Expo held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.
Unioil is providing a highly-competitive and rewarding franchise program that will enable distributors and franchisee easy access to the company's high-quality products at affordable prices and support services including the training of personnel..
An initial investment, he said of P500, 000 to P1 million capable of selling some 10, 000 liters of lubes would have a return of investment in as fast as one and a half year to two years depending on the location of the franchisee.
The planned expansion of the company’s lubricants business is on top of the construction of six service stations it is targeting to put up within the year, mostly in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces. This expansion would cost over P90 million.
The company has about 40 retail and service stations, which are mostly located in Luzon. ###
