Unioil inks with Yokohama


Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc.(UPPI) represented by its General Manager Luisito Medina-Cue Jr. recently signed a renewal on the supply agreement of high quality industrial lubricants with Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI), one of the world's biggest tire manufacturing firms, represented by its Executive Vice President for the Administration and Treasurer, Mr. Tomohiro Yoneko.


The renewal of the agreement according to Medina-Cue Jr. is a testament to the strength of the relationship between the two companies who are acknowledged as leaders and innovators in the industry.

The contract signing was held recently in the Yokohama Plant at the Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. Present also during the signing ceremonies are Ms. Malou Peniano (YTPI Purchasing Head) and Mr. Ramon Manalo (UPPI Sales Executive). 

The supply agreement is for the exclusive supply of high quality Unioil Industrial oils and Idemitsu Marine Oil. The supply volume was estimated to reach around P22 million, stipulated also in the contract are the after sales and technical services to ensure efficient operations and machine breakdown prevention.

Unioil and Yokohama has a long history of partnership that started in 1997.

Last year, Unioil also signed a contract for the supply of lubricant to Silver Tire Traders Inc., a local lube distributor based in General Santos City.
